UPDATE: I reinstalled Mokichu's 6918.1 SS3 drivers that included a setup.exe and it's switched back to UAD for me so the Audio Console works again (*sounds of much rejoicing*) but I'm now concerned about using the simpler (one boot) process to install newer versions like 8959.1, because it seems a bit incomplete as it doesn't update the version shown in "Control-Panel / Programs & Features". Is there any way I can fix the audio console and go back to using the updates from Mokichu, or should I be content with the quality & frequency of Microsoft's updates from now on? Also, there are now TWO different selectable layouts for 5.1 speakers under Windows Sound Configuration which I never saw when I was on UAD (or before making the switch-over)! One new problem (which may indicate it's back on the old-style Hi-Def Audio) is that the Realtek Audio Console no longer loads, but the SS3 settings still come up fine. Happily, this did fix the sound from the speakers, but I'm worried that I can no longer use Mokichu's excellent updates and will have to rely on Microsoft from now on! Windows reinstalled the audio drivers and now says that I have version 1.264 (dated 09/05/20). I also chose to uninstall any software in case it was corrupted. Reluctantly, I uninstalled the Realtek(tm) drivers from device manager and rebooted. No amount of restarts, troubleshooting, or even running system file checker (sfc) could pinpoint the problem and audio services were running. I have a ROG SS3 system and today for some strange reason, my speakers stopped working and I only had headphone sound. The only thing I thought is that I have some Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headphones and maybe the SteelSeries Engine 3 app was interfering with Sonic Studio? However I disabled it starting up with Windows but didnt make any difference, but maybe the drivers could be conflicting? By the way I didn't get a pop up message asking me to restart after installing Sonic Studio III, but I restarted anyway before launching the first time. The reviews on Microsoft Store are full of people with the same issue so maybe its just a junk piece of software. Without changing any of my audio settings or devices. Then I restart and the cycle starts over. After a restart it works ok for a while then crashes, then when I try and launch it again it immediately crashes, after several more tries it says 'System is not supported.'. I followed your instructions exactly, but unfortunately am still getting the exact same issue of Sonic Studio III constantly crashing.
